ServSafe Food Safety Managers Course
Ford County K-State Research & Extension will host a 1-day ServSafe food safety manager's certification class on Thursday, September 28. The class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Cimarron at the Gray County Fair Building, 17002 US Hwy 50, in Cimarron.
Participants will learn the principles and practices of food safety in commercial and non-commercial food service establishments. The course content includes food safety hazards, safe food handling procedures and guidelines for maintaining sanitary facilities and equipment. The course concludes with the 80-question national certification exam from the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
Registration fee includes the ServeSafe Essentials textbook, training materials, certification exam and refreshments. Registration forms are available here or on the Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association's website - www.krha.org.
This class is a food safety training for anyone in the area who is involved with food service establishments.
